Long Gone, A book review

This is a story about Alice, who is the daughter of rich and famous parents and is trying to make a life for herself without her family's money or influence. She is offered a job as a art gallery manager. She thinks that this is almost too good to be true, and it turns out that the case. Her new boss is found murdered, and she is the prime suspect. As the story progresses, we find out that things are not as they seem.

This is the typical murder mystery, and sometimes that is just the kind of book that you want to read. It is a well written story with an intricate plot and interesting characters.

I would recommend reading this book to those who enjoy a good mystery full of twists and things you wouldn't expect.

This book was given to me in electronic form to review from netGalley by the publishers HarperCollins.

House Divided, a book review

House Divided was a great drama set in Washington DC about scandal and cover-ups in the government. It all started when a murder is being investigated by local police, and the FBI step in to take over the case. From there we follow the winding tale of several intelligence agencies and what happens when people follow their own rules...

This was a very entertaining book with several characters that make you wonder if they are with the good guys or playing for the other team. It also deals with several issues in current events, such as warrant less wire tapping.

I would recommend this book to anyone that is interested in crime mysteries as it will certainly make you think and leave you unable to put the book down! Will be looking for more books from Mike Lawson.

This book was given to me electronically to review from netGalley for the publisher Grove/Atlantic Inc.

Eli and the spaceman, and some cuties....

Here are some cute pictures of Noah and Daddy that I snapped while we were getting ready to watch a movie. I love how they are all snuggly and loving each other! They certainly are cuties!

Then I found a picture of Eli from our trip. He looks like he is next to a spaceman, and I thought he looked cute as well. All my boys in one post, how exciting!

The Revenge of the Radioactive Lady.......

The Revenge of the Radioactive Lady by Elizabeth Stuckey-French was a very interesting book to me. It was advertised by being sold as similar to the movie "Little Miss Sunshine". I loved that movie and thought that this would be a funny book as well.

This was a funny book. It was about a woman that wanted to get revenge on her doctor from many years ago because he used her and other women in experiments with radioactive materials. Bad things happened as a result, and she has fixated on exacting revenge from the moment of her daughter's death from cancer a result of the experiments. She finds the man, and moves near him to kill him. She finds that she can't do that because he is beginning to lose his mind as a result of dementia, and instead decides to make things hard for his daughter's family.

It was a really funny book. I found the characters in the book to be very real and still funny. It is pretty hard who to figure out who to cheer for because all the characters have their own quirks. I recommend this book to anyone that is up for a funny read and is also able to laugh at the funny things in life. It was certainly a pleasure to read this book.

This review book was sent to me by the publishers, Doubleday, in exchange for a review.
